Waze is a brilliant and free (we like free!) satnav app for Apple and Android.
 
Imagine millions of drivers out on the roads, working together towards a common goal: to outsmart traffic and give everyone the best route to work and back, every day. You just hit a button to notify everyone around you about any traffic problems. This means you get alerted before you approach police, accidents, road hazards or traffic jams, all shared by other drivers in real-time. It's like a personal heads-up from a few million of your friends on the road.

It re-routes you if there is a better route and, to be honest, I find it more accurate than any of the paid ones. I even used it to drive in Thailand and managed not to get lost! (It even showed us the missing bits of road that you often find on Thai roads!)

Having a clear vision of where you are heading and clarifying the values that will take you there can be very empowering.

I recently helped a client develop their vision for the next five years. We mapped out their Big Picture Strategy with milestones along the way, and clarified their values – what was most important to them. They are now very clear on what they are looking to achieve. 
 
The difference this has made to the business owner has been amazing. He is more confident and excited about his future and totally re-energised about his business.

So what are lead and lag measures? 
  • Your lag measure is the end result. The goal.
  • Your lead measures are the things you need to do every day to reach that goal.

So, for example:

Your goal is to find five new clients – this is your lag measure. Your end result.
​
Your lead measures are the daily habits and activities that will lead to your end result.
  • Post on FB 3 times a day.
  • Deliver 100 flyers a week.
  • Call 20 business owners a week.

Do you ever get stuck for exactly the right word for your flyers, posters and website?

Just pop your word into RhymeZone, and it will instantly give you meanings, rhymes, descriptive words, synonyms, adjectives, similar-sounding words and example sentence! Brilliant resource if you need to jazz up your copy! 

It was a godsend when I wrote my book and realised how many times I wrote the word 'amazing'!
