When I talk strategy with new clients, I often get a nod and a half-hearted, “yes, we’ve got one somewhere…”. 🙄 The truth is, many businesses have a strategy – but it’s sitting in a drawer gathering dust. Or it’s so vague no one knows how to act on it! 🤦♀️ About 6-years ago, a London-based creative agency brought me in to help “sharpen their focus”. They were doing well, but plateauing, left wanting more! After a short workshop with the leadership team, we developed a clear 12-month plan with just four strategic pillars. We assigned owners, set monthly review sessions, and stopped chasing low-margin work. 💫
Within 9 months, their turnover increased by 18%, and they expanded into a new sector. 🚀 Their strategy worked because it got implemented! Does this resonate❓ Wondering what you could you do in your business❓ For me, most importantly, keep the strategy simple, specific, and actionable. You need three key things: 👉 Clarity - What exactly are we trying to achieve in the next 12 months? 👉 Priority -What are the top 3-5 projects or areas that will get us there? 👉 Accountability - Who owns what, and when will we check in? Forget the 30-page document if it isn't working for you or your team. A 1-pager everyone actually uses is far more powerful than a document nobody takes any notice of! What do you think❓
