Tip 220) 7 Tips to get you in the right mood to sell your stuff or follow up a prospect

Does anyone actually like doing follow-up calls? I don't think I've met anyone who actually enjoys this process, mainly due to good old "fear of rejection".  (see Tip 86 Sales Beliefs)

I believe that the energy you generate when you are pitching your business or following up your prospects has a huge influence on your results. Being focused and upbeat with good positive energy will bring you far more clients than if you are anxious and worried about making the call. Your prospect will sense it a mile away. We want to be around positive and upbeat people and are naturally drawn to them.
Here are 7 quick and easy tools and techniques to get you in the right mood:

1. MUSIC
Turn up the music and listen to your favourite energising track. What song gets you motivated? What do you like singing to in the car? What's your karaoke showcase? Music that builds and gets louder and faster will actually get your blood flowing by speeding your heart rate slightly, improving circulation, sending oxygen and nutrients soaring through your body and your brain, and raising energy levels as cells respond.

2. DANCE
Yes, you heard me right! Dance like nobody is watching (and obviously make sure that nobody is watching!). Changing your physiology has a huge impact on your mood. Our thoughts, feelings and actions are all interconnected. Change one, and you can change the others.

3. GET MOTIVATED
Listen to your favourite motivational guru. If you haven't got one, go find one! Or borrow one of mine for now—Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Nick Vujicic, Jack Canfield, Wayne Dyer, Robert Kiyosaki.

4. EXERCISE
Again, exercise raises energy and sends lovely endorphins around your body!

5. LAUGH
Watch your favourite funny videos on YouTube. Laughing is a brilliant way to raise your energy quickly.

6. VISUALISE
Sit quietly and visualise a brilliant outcome. Imagine the prospect saying yes. Feel how good that feels. See yourself coming off the call with a massive smile on your face. There is a brilliant five-minute Mindful Bite visualisation on the HappiMe app called Confident Me.

7. CREATE A MOTIVATIONAL PLAYLIST ON THE HAPPIME APP
The app has over 400 pre-recorded affirmations and positive statements to help you change your beliefs. Create a winning playlist and listen in the car, whilst you are at the gym, making dinner, etc. Listen as often as you can. Available on apple and android.

Keeping you motivated ...
