"Brilliant meeting. We had a perfect 2/2.5 mins to connect with others in the break out rooms and I walked away with a number of 1-2-1 follow up meetings of great quality.
Great work Jo and Carol, thanks for organising." Julie, Single Mums Business Network "This was an amazing experience and would love to do it again. Enjoyed every moment of it and such a great group. It was great to meet so many new people" Kevin, IT "Really enjoyed Speed Networking last night - and still feel buzzing today! Can’t wait until the next one." Abby, Children's Therapist. "This was a fun informal way to connect with new people from the comfort of my own home so very practical. With tech involved and multiple people its always gonna be a giggle!" Hazel, Virtual assistant "Great way to meet new contacts and introduce your business to a wide and new audience." Mark, Graphic Design "I found the Speed Networking session to be very useful, it made me think about what I offer and how to promote the benefits succinctly before hand, it was great to hear what others do and make connections that could lead to business or collaborations. It was much easier to attend than a face to face session and because of the structure was much less awkward!" Sam, Low Carb Buddy |
"I’ve never been speed networking before. I have been speed dating though and the concept isn’t that different! It was good fun, well run and I got to meet lots of business owners and potential people to work with / refer to.
I’d recommend this to anyone looking to start or build their network. It was friendly and fun." Becky. HR "Such a great new way to meet other business owners. It was quick and fun. I got to speak to more people than I do at other networking sessions as I don't like to interrupt or join in conversations at those events. This was just perfect." Sian, Holistic Therapist "Really enjoyed tonight! Lovely bunch of people and would look forward to doing it again." Sarah, Photography "A really fun way to engage with other like-minded people. I learned a lot, made some friends, and had a great time. Very worthwhile. A great format!" John, Author "Thanks Jo again. Really great to meet other people from similar and completely different businesses. A really friendly and fun way to network." Jenny, Nutritionist "Thank you Jo - it was my first virtual network group. I met some awesome people tonight. I will definitely be going to the next one! It was better than going to a network group f2f as I didn’t have to go anywhere so great for evening networking. 👍 massive thumbs up on this one from me. it was a great way of meeting loads of people." Carol, Virtual assistant |
"I attended the speed networking session on 21st May and found it very useful. Everyone had an opportunity to pitch their business to all, and the break away groups then allowed me to expand on my provision and have more insightful discussion with other businesses. I came away with a page of actions to follow up which will hopefully help my business grow during lock down and beyond." Ade, Action Pussycat
"I had such a fun time - it was really lovely chatting to you all (and looking forward to chatting to the people I didn't get to chat to) - great fun Jo Richings and thank you for arranging this - the little technical issues really made it an enjoyable time!" Chris, film production "This was an extremely useful and fun way of networking with other business people. It was also quick and easy from the comfort of my own home. Thank you for the opportunity!" Norah, Catering "Networking in your slippers, what could be better! It was fun and relaxed, a lot better than most networking events I have been to." Isabel, accounts "Thank you Jo for organising! Great to meet so many new people and easy way to Network." Abigail, Mental health "Loved meeting new people, businesses and entrepreneurs. The challenge of talking about my own business - much needed! And seeing the variety, ideas and initiatives out there. It was really positive and motivating!" Leanne - Pilates. |
Here are 7 Great Reasons Why this is the Best Way to Network!
1.You can Network in your Slippers!
Yep, you don't even need to leave home so you can network in your PJ's or your onesie if you want. We are far more interested in who you are and what you do than what you are wearing. All of our Networking sessions are online via Zoom. Virtual networking...I know, sounds weird but read on, I promise you'll warm to the idea. 2.Learn to Network like a Ninja!
In, out, done! Think speed dating for business owners but at home. With a cuppa. Or a glass of wine! It's fun, fast and you are done within the hour! 3.Network some lovely, positive, like-minded people who want to help you!
Strictly no jerks allowed. If you are only in it for yourself this is not the right group for you. I want to create a group where we collaborate, support each other and go out of our way to find business for each other. Imagine having lots of little part-time salesman running around Bristol promoting you and your business! |
4.Saves you busy 'ole Business Owners and Entrepreneurs precious time
Life is busy for sure. Families, partners, kids, your day job if you are just starting out, are all fighting (and sometimes screaming!) for our attention. For most of us, time is one of our most valuable commodities and there is nothing more annoying than spending ages getting ready, sitting in traffic only to get to the networking event to find it was a bit of a waste of time! With us your Networking is done and dusted in 90 minutes! How's that for productive?! You're welcome. |
5.No need for small talk.
The speed networking session is structured in a fun, unstructured, anything can happen kinda way. We create an warm, inclusive environment where you are only chatting to a couple of people at a time, for a short period of time! Like I said... in, out, done! Then you are out of the room and into another room with a new (small) bunch of people. And yes, this all happens online. Don't you just love technology. Easy peasy. 6. No need to hide in the toilets!
Or is that just me? I can think of nothing worse that walking into a room full of strangers and having to make small talk. (Not that we can go to visit a room full of strangers at the moment!) As much as I know that as a business coach I should love it...I don't! Nope. Nada. No. And yes...in my early days in business I did actually hide in the loo's until the event started so I didn't have to talk to anyone! 7.No technical skills needed at all.
Just click the link from any device with a mic and camera and you are in da room! Simples (said in an annoying meercat's voice!). If you are joining us from a smart phone or iPad, you can download the Zoom app within seconds. |
