FAQ's for Business CoachingBefore taking on a business coach you’ll probably have a few questions. You should! It’s important to know what to expect and how coaching can benefit you and your business. So I’ve put together a list of commonly asked questions to help you.
|
What is Business Coaching? In simple terms, it’s a service where business professionals get personal guidance to improve their company’s success. If you think of a sports coach using their skills to help a team win a championship - it’s the same with a business coach.
My job is to help you and your business reach that next level of success. So you can achieve your goals and learn the skills you need to help your business thrive. If you run into problems along the way, I’ll be there to guide you through them in the best way possible and hold you accountable for the actions you commit to taking. |
How Much Does a Business Coach Cost? How long is a piece of string?! It depends on your business, your goals, and how my skills can help you. An entrepreneur and a large corporation will have very different needs.
So I won’t know the exact price until we’ve had a chat and I can find out more about you and what your business needs. But I know even a ballpark figure can be helpful. So as a guide, a monthly coaching programme costs from £250 to £2000. And my business coaching comes with a ‘Return On Your Investment Guarantee’! In other words, I promise your investment will pay for itself - or you’ll get your money back. |
How Can a Business Coach Help Me?Having a business coach is not just good for your company, it will probably improve life outside work too. For many of my clients having a coach is like having a boost of adrenaline. Motivation goes way up, problems shrivel, and a wave of positive energy begins to flow. For most people, they take that feeling home with them. It’s infectious!
I’m incredibly passionate about what I do, and I bring a lot of coaching experience with me. This is a bespoke service, so I’ll give you exactly the right support, and the tools you need to succeed in the future. It makes financial sense too. A study by The Institute of Coaching found 86% of companies felt that they’d recouped their investment. Better still, I offer a ‘Return On Your Investment Guarantee’. I promise you’ll make your money back - or I’ll give you a full refund. So if you’re wondering if business coaching is worth it. It is. |
What Happens in a Business Coaching Session?Every business is unique, so as a coach my first job is to find out as much as I can. Then together we can decide on how best I can help you. I like to be honest and upfront with my clients. I think it’s important to establish trust between us from the start. So if I see a problem I will tell you!
During the first sessions, we will identify any challenges in the business, plan the solutions, clarify your long-term and short-term goals, and create our first 12-month plan. We’ll then break this down into your first 90-day plan. Then your coaching sessions each week, fortnight or month are there to ensure you have the knowledge, tools and techniques needed to achieve your plan. Plus, I’m there every step of the way to check that you are sticking to your plan! I offer 1-2-1 business coaching, business mentoring, and training in small group sessions, or large workshops - whichever suits you best. And here’s a small selection of some of the areas we can cover in these sessions:
My coaching business practice is based in Bristol, but I also work with many business owners and professionals online. This means I can work with you wherever you are. I take on clients from all over the UK and I’ve even worked with business owners on the other side of the globe. Feedback is also important. So I make sure we take the time to review how your coaching experience is going. And to ensure you’re still on target to reach your goals. |
What Experience Do You Have? For the last 32 years, I have studied business, personal and professional development. I am a certified, award-winning Business Coach and I’ve worked with 1000’s of business owners and individuals.
14 years ago I trained with ActionCoach - the world’s biggest business coaching franchise. After 8 years of success at ActionCoach I decided it was time to step out on my own and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’m also an Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) practitioner. I have Diplomas in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness & Coaching. I continue to study the latest practices and techniques so I can stay on top of my industry. |
Who Uses a Business Coach?I believe that anyone with a business will benefit from having a business coach. But don’t just take my word for it - Eric Schmidt, formerly Google CEO put it like this; “Everyone needs a coach”. After admitting he was reluctant to hire one, he said it was the best professional decision he ever made.
And Eric is not alone - 40% of Fortune 500 companies use coaches. It’s how they stay ahead of the competition. But business coaching isn’t just for the billionaires. I work with a wide range of clients - from entrepreneurs with a handful of staff to large corporations with thousands of employees. So whatever your size and whatever your business is - coaching will change it for the better. |
What’s the Difference Between Coaching and Mentoring?Good question. I find there’s a lot of crossover between the two words. I’m often with my clients for a long time, and I naturally become both a coach and a mentor to them.
But as a coach, you get that extra structure built into our time together. With that in place you can monitor your progress so far and move forward with a clear set of objectives. Giving you maximum value from our sessions. I’ll also help you uncover your own skills rather than just lend you mine. |
