3.5 Degrees of separation

Remember the Six Degrees of Separation trend from the 1990s? 

Well now it’s down from 6 to 3.5. 
Why? The internet of course. 🌍

We’re more connected than ever. 

So it’s highly likely your friend has a friend who has a friend who is friends with George Clooney! I think!! Close enough for me, anyway. ✨

But how do you make the right connections? 

Networking is vital in any business. But then I would say that given I run a speed networking event every month! But don’t underestimate its value. Becoming part of a business community offers valuable support as well as work opportunities.

Here are my tips for making lasting connections for your business. And it could even be the start of a beautiful friendship:

✅Be kind

✅Don’t do the big sell

✅Ask for help when you need it

Really, it’s about being human - showing empathy, admitting flaws and relating to others. Businesses often forget this and only focus on pushing sales. Don’t be one of them.

People connect with people - not companies. 

Keep your human side no matter how big your company gets. And you’ll be rewarded with real engagement and loyal customers.
