Guest post from the lovely Emma from Emma Jayne Creative.

When was the last time you looked at who your ideal client is? These days it’s all too easy to say “everyone and anyone”, but are you doing yourself a disservice?

The thing about marketing is, when you try and speak to EVERYONE, you end up speaking to NO-ONE. Yep, that’s right – no-one at all. It can feel scary, niching down and working out exactly who your ideal client will be – counter-intuitive even. But it works.

Top 278) Give your potential clients an easy out

Whilst offering your prospect an easy way out of buying from you sounds counter-productive and borderline crazy, research shows that by doing this your potential client is actually more likely to buy from you.

This is because they will relax and trust you because they know you are not going to use high-pressure sales techniques.

I always tell prospects that we will only work together if it's a perfect fit for both of us and that it's absolutely fine for either us to say no.

No pressure!

Let's face it - none of us likes to feel we are being sold to, do we?

Get it? Got it? Good :-)

Tip 276) Sometimes offering less not more is best

We often think that we need to be everything to everyone.

We don't want to lose a sale, so we keep piling on the options to cater to every customer.

When you offer customers too many choices, you take away their ability to make quick decisions.

The more options you offer, the more confused they can get, and the more likely they are to need time to think about it.

This is called Decision Paralysis and can lead to anxiety, and even unhappiness.

Guest Post from the lovely Devaki at Curvy Girl Yoga.

Hi, my name is Devaki & I’m a Yoga Teacher. I have been for 14 years now! Indeed, it’s the longest I’ve stuck at anything! In 2017 I set up Curvy Girl Yoga here in Bristol.

Curvy Girl Yoga is unique; it offers a safe, supportive environment for those who identify as a woman & are size 16 or more to practice yoga. In just under 2 years it has grown from just 1 to 5 classes a week!
