Their new app, whilst still in beta mode, looks fantastic. It integrates with zoom and YouTube and allows you to do all kinds of wonderful things. They are looking for beta testers so definitely worth checking out their video.
One of my best innovations has to be Speed Networking over zoom. When we started a year ago, no-one else was doing this. In fact, I don't think anyone is now! Another would be the HappiMe app, a fab little app to help children and adults improve their confidence and create a more positive growth mindset. . What have you done to innovate? What have you done to make your product or service better than your competitors? Feel free to share!

Why is it that some people work well under pressure & others fall apart under the stress of it all?
Many people say that they work well under pressure. The shorter the deadline the better. I've always known that when my back is against the wall, I will pull out all the stops to get things done. I'm great in a crisis. I get sh!t done. Fast! I'm not saying this is good for my physical or mental health, as long term stress can do some pretty awful things to your body including shutting down your immune system - not something any of us need right now with the CV floating around! It's just something I have learned about myself. But when life is easy & deadlines are a long way away, I can procrastinate with the best of them. Like I am with my 2019-2020 accounts! 😀 It's been on my Action List since the 5th April! I know I still have 6 months to get it done, 5 if I don't want a stroppy accountant. There is no pressure to get it done, especially when there are more exciting things to be doing. Do you know one of the best things about having a business coach? The accountability to get your sh!t done. Who holds you accountable? I’m happy too! Let’s chat! No leader has handled the Covid-19 crisis perfectly. That includes our PM.
As a business coach, I've seen some poor leadership skills from BJ. Here are a few examples: 💥Missing 5 Cobra meetings Strong leaders know when to delegate & when to get involved. Skip that meeting about stationery, but show up for the important ones. 💥Scientists tell the public not to shake hands. Boris then says he’s shaking hands with everybody - including CV patients. Mixed messages like this show you’re not listening or communicating effectively. If you have experts around you - listen to their advice, & be open to changing your mind. Then agree on the message you're putting out there. 💥Not firing Dominic Cummings. When someone breaks your rules, you undermine your team’s faith in your leadership if you don't act. Don’t tell your team you’re acting in their best interests - show them. 💥Being indecisive about closures and masks. Be proactive & decisive - even if it risks making you unpopular. If you leave a void of indecision, other people’s opinions fill that gap and undermine your authority. So have I been fair on Boris? Do you need to develop your leadership skills? Can you follow someone else’s route to success?
Is success really as simple as copying someone’s strategy or roadmap? I think not. If only it WERE that simple. With the amount of experts sharing their knowledge freely in the form of articles, ebooks, courses & videos, we should be a nation of successful entrepreneurs. Yes, free info CAN make a difference to your knowledge & skill levels but often won’t lead to success on its own. The solution? Business coaching of course! 😊 Having someone who will not only teach you what you need to do, but will also hold you accountable so you do it. Who will believe in you until you do. Who will challenge your ideas, your thinking & push you to be the best you can be. Even when you don’t want be pushed. Someone to bounce ideas with. A coach is your cheerleader, mentor, sales, marketing & finance director, all rolled into one! Most have never experienced how powerful business coaching can be. If you want to experience this for yourself, I’m offering a money back guarantee to anyone who wants to book a strategy session with me in July. Please message me to book your session! What do you offer your prospects to make your product or service a ‘no brainer’? #bristol #business #coaching #success Remember the Six Degrees of Separation trend from the 1990s?
Well now it’s down from 6 to 3.5. Why? The internet of course. 🌍 We’re more connected than ever. So it’s highly likely your friend has a friend who has a friend who is friends with George Clooney! I think!! Close enough for me, anyway. ✨ But how do you make the right connections? Networking is vital in any business. But then I would say that given I run a speed networking event every month! But don’t underestimate its value. Becoming part of a business community offers valuable support as well as work opportunities. Here are my tips for making lasting connections for your business. And it could even be the start of a beautiful friendship: ✅Offer value ✅Be kind ✅Don’t do the big sell ✅Ask for help when you need it Really, it’s about being human - showing empathy, admitting flaws and relating to others. Businesses often forget this and only focus on pushing sales. Don’t be one of them. People connect with people - not companies. Keep your human side no matter how big your company gets. And you’ll be rewarded with real engagement and loyal customers. So, any tenuous links to anyone famous? I’d love to know! #sixdegreesofseparation #businesscoaching #businesstips #businessconnections Tiredness, no energy, and lacking concentration can be feelings we struggle with for hours, days, weeks, or longer. 🥱
But it’s important to know these are not character flaws. A global pandemic will do this to the best of us. Stress causes these feelings. And lockdown has been a stressful time - especially for business owners. As a business coach, it’s my job to help my clients find their focus and set achievable goals. It’s understandable that over the last few months, many have had to do a bit of a reset on this. And it can be a struggle to get motivated to bring in the changes necessary. It’s hard to be creative when we’re under stress. Our brains don’t want to go on flights of fancy when there’s home-schooling to be done and you’re worried about loved ones. 🤝So I just wanted to reassure you you’re not alone and it will get better. Your brain has had to absorb some pretty scary stuff recently. But it’s also great at adapting. So don’t worry, your mojo hasn’t permanently left the building. It will return. 😎 I’m a big believer in positivity, so if you need to find your business mojo again let me help you. #businesscoaching #businessmojo #stress #businessmentor It’s finally July and some of you may be planning to take a break from work. But the guilt of stepping away can follow us right from the airport to the swimming pool.
As a business coach, I’ve had to listen to my own advice on this one - and it’s not always easy. Have I reached for the laptop from my sunlounger and checked in on work when I’m supposed to be relaxing? Yep, guilty as charged. So for me as much as you right now, here are my tips for organising your business so you CAN take that trip and actually enjoy it. 🏖️Give your clients plenty of notice. Clients will understand you need to have a break sometimes and appreciate you telling them nice and early. 🏖️Hire a Virtual Assistant. Having someone else look after the day-to-day while you’re away is a great way to keep things ticking over. 🏖️Hire a freelancer. If there are jobs you can’t delay or finish before you go, consider hiring someone trained to do it for you. This can help keep the money rolling in too. 🏖️Do a digital detox. This one is the best thing you can do on holiday. Don’t let technology drag you back into work mode. So, have you ever felt guilty for taking a holiday? #businesscoaching #holidayguilt #businesstips 🍫So today is World Chocolate Day! 🍫 And the choice we have these days is enormous. Entire supermarket aisles dedicated to the sweet treat so many of us can’t resist. I have a sweet tooth, so I’ve had my fair share of chocolate days. But today I have been completely sugar free for 236 days! 😇 But don’t feel guilty if you’re eating a Twix on your lunch break. Some people can control their sugar cravings. But a few of us struggle. Business coaching relies on me bringing energy and positivity to my work. But I definitely used to get that 3pm energy slump. Sound familiar? Giving up sugar was tough at the beginning. (Is there such a thing as a sugar hangover?!) But after two weeks I lost the cravings and my energy levels lifted. I tell my clients it’s important to make positive choices in their lives, not just in their working day. Eating well, having a good routine, exercising - all these things boost your mood and get you into the positive mindset you need to be a success at work. And if you’re hungry, prone to mood swings, and need a chocolate fix to get you through your day then perhaps giving up sugar isn't a bad idea. It worked for me! So what have you successfully given up? And how hard was it? #businesscoaching #chocolate #sugarfree |
