I’m often surprised how most people don’t really plan. Some may have a rough idea in their heads but nothing concrete on paper. They spend more time planning Christmas or a summer holiday than they do planning how next year will be better.
There is something quite magical about a written plan. In fact, research shows that you are 42% more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down!
42%. That’s a pretty good incentive to get them down on paper in my book!
As you’d imagine, as a business and executive coach, I LOVE planning! (Practice what you preach and all that 😀!)
I love the whole process. Thinking about who I want to BE, what I want to DO and what I want to HAVE is exciting and motivating.
Whilst this can be done at any time of the year, there’s something special about creating a plan for a new year. And the best part is bringing all that together into a vision board. My vision board is on the windowsill near my dining table where I can see it at every meal. Happy to say that I achieved most things on my board this year. Except a park run and getting better at chess. (Yet!)
What about you? Are you a planner? Or are you a 'see how it goes' type? Or somewhere in between?
If you need help making a plan for 2022, please give me a shout! Whether that’s a business plan, marketing plan, culture or team development plan, LinkedIn marketing plan or a management development plan - I'm there!
