🤔 Ever felt a little bit like a fraud? That you are improvising? That everybody is more knowledgeable than you? That you may get found out? Do you ever wonder how you got into the position you're in? Do you worry that you are not good enough? That you've simply been fortunate?
✅ Well here's the thing... Imposter syndrome and these type of thoughts are WAY more common that you'd think!
Since I've been coaching business owners, managers, directors, and team members for 14 years, I can honestly state that almost everyone I've dealt with has experienced imposter syndrome in at least one situation. Even those making 6 and 7 figures...
But we avoid discussing it. God forbid we display any sort of frailty and reveal our imperfections to others! What, allow ourselves to be vulnerable? Goodness no! Whatever next? 😁
I frequently notice a loud sigh of relief after I've conveyed to clients just how typical this is. People's perspectives change just by realising they aren't the only ones experiencing it. Knowing that the MD of a £100 million company also thinks he or she is not good enough can come as a huge relief!
So… How about some transparency? Do you occasionally experience imposter syndrome?
If so, how do you deal with it?
