What is voice message marketing?
Voice message marketing is a unique way to get your message in front of your customers and prospects via emailing or texting a voice message. There are plenty of free apps out there that will allow you to record and send a voice message. If done correctly, voice message marketing can generate interest in your business, your products and services and drive customers your way.

Voice message marketing is a unique way to get your message in front of your customers and prospects via emailing or texting a voice message. There are plenty of free apps out there that will allow you to record and send a voice message. If done correctly, voice message marketing can generate interest in your business, your products and services and drive customers your way.

There are several great reasons that businesses use voice message marketing to promote their company or product.

The most important reason is that it enables the prospect or client to get to know the real you when they hear your voice. It is estimated that only 7% of our message is down to the words that we use and 93% is down to our tone of voice and body language. Let them hear how great you are!

How to get the best conversion rates from voice message marketing.
  • Firstly, you need to be clear about the reason for your marketing call. Knowing the exact purpose of the message will help you craft a better voicemail marketing message.
  • Write a script and rehearse it until you don’t sound rehearsed, as this may out prospects off.
  • Use your natural voice in the recording and sound friendly, enthusiastic and upbeat but be careful not to come across as ‘salesy’.
  • Clever businesses use voice message marketing, not as a sales pitch but rather to warm their prospects up or to keep in touch with their clients. When you record the message cover the basics like who you are and the purpose for the call first and then give them a compelling call to action. Give them a reason to call you back.

Voice messages are particularly useful when you already have a relationship with the prospect or client as you can personalise the message by talking about things that you know are important and relevant to them.

Voice message marketing allows you to share the good news about the business such as offers, new products, change of address or a new team member. This kind of marketing is also extremely helpful to customers when you have a limited deal going on with a product or service that they already buy from you. Make it sound that you thought of them especially!

Sending new clients a “thank you for your business” type of recording is a really good way to wow them.

You can also do this as a means of following up leads that you’ve met at networking events rather than sending an email as everyone else does.

Helping you stand out from the crowd!
