Tip 160) Market research your competitors

Taking the time to research your competitors to see what they are up to can often help improve your own offering. Not only can you check whether they are marketing something that you're not (and should be!), you can see the new products or services they are about to launch, the type of feedback they are getting from clients and how good their marketing is.
 
Search their name on Google to see where they are advertising and who is promoting them. Check out their social media accounts - followers and engagement.

​While I wouldn't suggest you spend a long time on this, there is nothing wrong with being a little nosy! In fact, it's often very useful :-)
