Tip 266) top Tip for filling the empty client slots in your  diary

This simple yet massively effective tip is especially good for those of you who deliver a service at a set time, such as beauty, holistic therapies, coaching, health, fitness, etc., but can also be adapted to fit a lot of other situations.

It taps into four key buying triggers:
  1. Scarcity \ FOMO: Fear of missing out on a deal. 
  2. Bargain hunters: Let's face it - we all love a bargain 
  3. Emotional Reward: We make buying decisions 80% emotionally, and very quickly justify that with 20% logic. Whether you are feeling low and want to cheer yourself up, or feeling great and want to treat yourself,  your emotions play a key part in how you spend your money. 
  4. Impulsiveness ​Or is that just me? :-)

Here's what you do...
Text all your previous clients and anyone on your database with something along the lines of...

I have an unexpected free slot on Tuesday at 3pm so would like to offer a 25% discount/£10 off to anyone who wants an xxxxx! First come, first served - text me back asap if you are interested! 

​Important
  • Text old clients first. If you don't get any response, then text your current clients. No point in giving a discount if they are buying anyway.
  • Ideally, text an offer on a service that they are not already buying.  It's a great way to introduce them to other services. 
  • Text works way better than email. I'm still surprised how little non-business people tend to check their emails, so they're likely to miss the deal. 
  • Obviously, make sure you are being GDPR compliant :-)
