Tip 51) know the difference between your lead and lag measures?

So what are lead and lag measures? 
  • Your lag measure is the end result. The goal.
  • Your lead measures are the things you need to do every day to reach that goal.

So, for example:

Your goal is to find five new clients – this is your lag measure. Your end result.
​
Your lead measures are the daily habits and activities that will lead to your end result.
  • Post on FB 3 times a day.
  • Deliver 100 flyers a week.
  • Call 20 business owners a week.
While focusing on the end goal is important, it’s nowhere near as important as understanding the daily activities that will lead to your end goal – and doing them!
​
What are your lead measures? What are the things you should be doing consistently to grow your business? Do you know how much activity is needed to find a new client? You should know, so if you don’t – start measuring your activity!
