Tip 18) 11 places to put your posters or flyers

​I often find that small business owners can be a little uncomfortable about handing out flyers, but if you’re not prepared to shout about how great your business is, then who is?

​I'm assuming that you believe in what you do, so you owe it to your potential customers to get out there and tell them all about it! They need to know about how great your products and services are.
 
Here are 11 easy places you can pop your flyers...

1. Cafe noticeboards
2. Letterboxes! – target areas where you are most likely to find your target market. 
3. Takeaway food outlets – a plumber client of mine used to get at least two calls a month from a flyer he put up in his local Chinese takeaway. Customers are often waiting around for a while for their food, so let them read your flyer while they are waiting!
4. Blu Tack to an undercover bus stop (don't use glue, or you may have the council coming after you!)
5. Libraries 
6. Give a handful to your existing clients 
7. Community centre noticeboards 
8. Leave some with other (non-competing) businesses –and take some of theirs
9. Leave in a few in the public laundrette
10. Hand out at public events
11. Church notice boards

Just commit to getting your flyers and posters out there! They are not going to find you any new customers sat in a box on your shelf. ​:-)
